Revealing Roots is a plant-based collection inspired by Scotland’s historic flax and linen industry. It celebrates local, traceable linen through a bespoke range of screen-printed organic linen for dining interiors. The colour palette, drawn from calming hues across the Scottish Highlands and Islands, is achieved using natural dyes from local plants. Bold, colourful designs and detailed drawings of Scottish flora highlight the connection to flax history and the environment. The collection modernises traditional table linens, such as runners and napkins, by blending delicate floral illustrations with bold stripes and ginghams.
A key feature is the use of hand-spun flax thread from 125-year-old flax, emphasising traditional craftsmanship. This thread is used for embroidery and hems, as well as in woven trims that tell the story of linen production from raw plant to finished textiles. Entirely natural and chemical-free, the collection promotes sustainable practices, slow design, and circular principles, while showcasing the diversity of natural dyes.
