Synopsis

The Pianodrome is a project in Edinburgh that takes old pianos destined for landfill and fixes them up and “adopts” them out or recycles them into new uses such as the titular Pianodrome, an amphitheater made completely out of pianos. Located in an old, leaky warehouse on the outskirts of the city, the place is often cold and damp, but the community that has grown around the project brings in a human warmth to the place and a sense of collaboration and growth. Devon, a filmmaker, comes to the Pianodrome seeking to make a film about the intrinsically interesting place but soon finds himself being brought in, accepted, and “adopted”by the community.
