Project description

Since childhood, my teddy bear MINI and blanket KIKI have been more than just toys—they’ve been sources of comfort and constant companions through every stage of life. This collection is a tribute to that bond and an exploration of separation anxiety: the emotional attachment we form with familiar objects that provide security in times of uncertainty.

COLLECTION CONCEPT

My designs reflect the struggle of letting go through techniques like pulling, wrapping, and distortion. Inspired by Mini’s transformation from soft to worn, my textile work captures the passage of time, honouring her not as an object, but as a lifelong companion shaped by touch, memory, and time.

Rooted in my personal journey with Mini and Kiki, this collection challenges the belief that emotional attachment is childish or should be hidden. Instead, it celebrates the courage to embrace our feelings and to express love for the companions—and memories—that have shaped who we are.
