Sean Obrzud’s art practice reflects a curious engagement with identity and queerness. He explores these themes through Abstraction, using formal elements such as colour, form, and line to visualise ideas around intimacy, connection, vulnerability, and loss, often referencing interpersonal dynamics that are difficult to articulate through language.
Abstraction enables Sean to question his position within relationships, using material processes to realign a fragmented understanding of his personal history. The tension between concealment and identity exposure has served as a powerful catalyst in the development of his work.
